Farewell MathWorks, and Hello ClearMotion

May 31, 2017

In a few weeks, I will join the startup company ClearMotion (formally Levant Power) as a Senior Controls Engineer. I am very excited and honored to have this opportunity to develop next generation algorithms and software for the “digital ride” control system, hoping to change the future of how vehicle drives and vibrates.

As part of the role, I will be regularly attending the American Control Conference (ACC) and Conference on Decision and Control (CDC) every year. I look forward to the future interactions with researchers in the Control Systems Community.

On the other hand, I will be leaving MathWorks after working here for 3 years. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to start my career at MathWorks, to work with so many incredibly intelligent and supportive coworkers, and to contribute features to MATLAB/Simulink. This is a truly memorable and proud experience in my lifetime.

Leaving MathWorks is an extremely difficult decision for me to make. I will continue to be a fan of MATLAB and an advocate for MathWorks products in my future career. I wish MathWorks, in particular the Controls Toolbox Team, continued success.
